The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel beat the rival Star Hotshots, 89-76, in Game 7, winning their best-of-seven semifinal series in front of a crowd of 20, 221 on Tuesday, February 21.
Sol Mercado poured in 23 points on 4-of-6 three-pointers and three other players scored in double figures for Ginebra.
Japeth Aguilar had 19 points, LA Tenorio with 21 and Scottie Thompson chipped in 10 points.
Allein Maliksi led the Hotshots with 22 points on 3-of-4 triples off the bench. Marc Pingris contributed 17 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and two blocks.
The Ginebra will face the San Miguel Beermen in the Finals, with Game 1 on Friday, February 24 at the MOA Arena.
