Perlas Pilipinas, the Philippines women’s national basketball team, suffered another lopsided defeat after a 43-117 loss against China in the quarterfinals of the 2017 FIBA-Asia Women's Cup Division A.
Afril Bernardino scored 11 points while Camille Sambile made 10 markers to lead Perlas Pilipinas.
For China, six players scored at least 12 points led by Li Yueru who scored 17 points to go along with 12 rebounds. They advanced to the semifinals against Japan.
The Philippines will still play games in the 5th to 8th classification round as it tries to retain its Division A status and avoid relegation. They will face Chinese Taipei on Friday, July 28.
