Sidney Onwubere and Raymund Pascua delivered three-pointers in crunch time as EAC Generals defeated the Mapua Cardinals, 77-72, in the first round of NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament Tuesday (July 25) at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The Fil-Nigerian Onwubere finished with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Pascua contributed 16. Jervin Guzman had 13 points and Jesse Bautista had double-double of 12 points and 11 boards for Emilio Aguinaldo College.
Leo Gabo scored 19 points to go along with four rebounds, and four assists to lead Mapua University.
