GJ Ilagan topscored with 13 points, while Prince Eze added 11 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to lead Perpetual Altas to their first victory against Mapua Cardinals, 63-60, in the first round of NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament Thursday (July 20) at Mapua Gym in Intramuros, Manila.
AJ Coronel, who scored a triple with 1:22 remaining to extend the lead of University of Perpetual Help to four, finished with 10 points.
Leo Gabo led the Mapua University with 12 points while Andoy Estrella contributed with 11 points, four assists and four boards in the loss.
