Rey Nambatac scored 13 of his 15 points in fourth quarter, propelling the Letran Knights to a 82-75 victory over the Arellano Chiefs in the first round of NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball tournament Tuesday (August 1) at at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Jeo Ambohot collected 15 points, 13 rebounds, and five blocks for Colegio de San Juan de Letran, who ended a two-game losing streak.
Lervin Flores produced a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Kent Salado had 15 points for Arellano University, who lost for the second straight game.
