Allein Maliksi hit a jumper with 9.5 seconds left to give Blackwater Elite a 92-91 victory on Tuesday, September 26, forcing a do-or-die game against Meralco Bolts in the quarterfinals of 2017 PBA Governors' Cup.
Import Henry Walker led Blackwater with 30 points and 18 rebounds. Michael Digregorio added 20 points, while Maliksi chipped in 15 markers.
The top seed Meralco were led by Chris Newsome with 19 points, while Durham and Cliff Hodge added 18 points apiece in the loss.
The do-or-die game is set on Thursday with the winner moving on to the semifinals.
