Thirdy Ravena led the Ateneo Blue Eagles past the defending champions FEU Tamaraws with 17 points shooting 6 for 9 from the field.
The win puts the Blue Eagles at a 2-1 win-loss record, while the Tamaraws dropped to 1-2 record in UAAP Season 79.
Wendell Comboy had 16 first half points to lead the FEU, but limited to four points in the second half due to foul trouble.
Raymar Jose posted a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Prinze Orizu likewise had 16 markers along with 16 boards.
