San Miguel takes 2-1 lead as Ginebra collapses in 4th Quarter

The San Miguel Beermen staged a fourth quarter rally to hold off Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 99-88, in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series of 2017 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

Ginebra did not score a point in the final four minutes of the fourth quarter that resulted to 12 unanswered points by the Beermen.

June Mar Fajardo was named best player of the game after a dominant double-double game with 17 points and 18 rebounds.

Chris Ross had 24 points to lead the San Miguel in scoring on top of eight assists and four rebounds.

For the losing side, point guard LA Tenorio had 16 points, five rebounds and five assists. Rookie Kevin Ferrer added 15 points while Japeth Aguilar had 12.

Game 4 will be played again at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday, March 3, at 7 pm.
