On Tuesday, July 25, head coach Chot Reyes announced on his Twitter account the Final 12 of Gilas Pilipinas that will compete in the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup.

Scoring champion Terrence Romeo and the beast Calvin Abueva are also in the lineup together with Japeth Aguilar, Raymond Almazan, and Gabe Norwood, who was called for another tour of duty.
Naturalized player Andray Blatche and three-point specialist Allein Maliksi were out of the lineup and will be replaced by Fil-German Christian Standhardinger and Gilas cadet Carl Bryan Cruz.
The other Gilas cadets who complete the lineup are Jio Jalalon, RR Pogoy and Matthew Wright.
The 2017 FIBA Asia Cup is set on August 8 to 20 in Beirut, Lebanon.
