HIGHLIGHTS: Gilas Pilipinas vs. Japan (February 25, 2018)

Gilas Pilipinas defended their home court at Mall of Asia Arena with a 89-84 victory over Japan in the first round (second window) of FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers on February 25.

Andray Blatche posted 18 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block to lead the Philippines.

Troy Rosario and Keifer Ravena, who help the Gilas overcome an early 16-point deficit, contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively. Rosario added four rebounds while Ravena had five assists.

Jayson Catro William drilled a floater with 12 seconds left to secure the third win for the Gilas in the qualifying round. He finished with eight points and three assists.

Japan was led by Makoto Hiejima with 23 points and 4 rebounds.
