The San Miguel Beermen and the Barangay Ginebra will open the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals best-of-seven series today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Beermen booked a return trip to the finals after finishing off the Alaska Aces, 104-99, in Game 4. Seeded sixth after the elimination round, the San Miguel swept the TNT KaTropa in the quarterfinals, then dismissed the Aces in four games.
The fifth-seed Ginebra hacked out a tough 96-94 victory over the top-seeded Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in Game 4 to end their best-of-5 semifinals series, 3-1, and advanced to the Finals.
