The Beermen are shooting for their fifth straight Philippine Cup championship while the Hotshots looked to end end San Miguel's All-Filipino dynasty.
San Miguel extended the series to a winner-take-all Game 7 after beating Magnolia in Game 6, 98-86.

The San Miguel Beermen won their fifth consecutive PBA Philippine Cup title after defeating the Magnolia Hotshots in Game 7, 72-71.
Alex Cabagnot, the best player of the game, finished with 18 points, three rebounds and three assists for the Beermen.
June Mar Fajardo, the Finals MVP, had 17 points and recorded a local record of 31 rebounds. Arwind Santos added 17 markers and 11 boards.
San Miguel clawed back from 17 points down to edge Magnolia.
Ian Sangalang led the Hotshots with 18 points and six rebounds.
Paul Lee and Rafi Reavis scored 11 each and Jio Jalalon scored eight points.
