Eloy Poligrates scores 67 points, sets PBA D-League scoring record

Eloy Poligrates broke the PBA D-League's scoring mark with 67 points to help Marinerong Pilipino rout the iWalk, 141-97 on Monday, August 26 in the 2019 Foundation Cup at FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Former PBA and MPBL player Poligrates surpassed the previous record of 58 points set by James Martinez when AMA defeated Topstar ZC Mindanao, 125-76, on August 2, 2016.

The Cebuano guard, a former pick of TNT in the 2013 PBA draft and a former player of Cebu Sharks in MPBL, converted 11-of-25 shots from beyond the arc and had five assists and two rebounds in the win.

In an interview with Cebu Daily News, Poligrates said he wanted to prove his doubters wrong and to make a PBA comeback.
