PSL Finals: F2 Logistics takes Game 1 over Cignal

It took five sets, but F2 Logistics Cargo Movers eventually claimed Game 1 of the 2019 PSL All-Filipino Conference Finals on Saturday, August 24 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Cargo Movers prevented a meltdown and held on to a 25-22, 26-24, 18-25, 17-25, 15-8 win over Cignal HD Spikers to take Game 1 of the best-of-three title series.


F2 Logistics won the first two sets, but Cignal fought back to win the next two.

In the fifth set, the Cargo Movers determined to win the game, took an early 3-0 lead and eventually extended the margin to 13-6 en route to victory.

Kalei Mau had 25 attacks, one block and one ace to lead the Cargo Movers.

Ara Galang and Majoy Baron added 11 points apiece, while libero Dawn Macandili tallied 33 excellent digs, as F2 Logistics has a chance to capture the All-Filipino championship in Game 2 on Tuesday.

Janine Navarro led Cignal with 16 points. Jovelyn Gonzaga had 12 points and 33 digs.

Mylene Paat and Roselyn Doria had nine markers each, while libero Jheck Dionela had 41 digs and 18 excellent receptions.
