Blackwater falls to Seoul SK, 77-93 in Terrific 12

Blackwater Elite and Seoul SK Knights opened the East Asia Super League - The Terrific 12 2019 on Tuesday, September 17 at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion in Macau.

The Elite fell to the Knights 77-93 in the opener.

Seoul SK were led by reinforcements Jameel Warney and Aaron Haynes. Warney finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists, while Haynes added 18 markers and eight boards. Kim Min Soo topped the locals of Seoul with 18 points.


The Knights started out strong and took over control of the game, taking a 44-36 lead at the half. The Elite tied the game in the third period at 46-all after a 8-0 start.

But the Knights responded with 11-1 run and never looked back to get the win over the Elite.

Alex Stepheson led the Blackwater with 22 points and 22 rebounds, while Marqus Blakely tallied 14 points, four rebounds, and four assists before fouling out. Paul Desiderio contributed 12 points.

The Elite will face Japan’s Chiba Jets on Wednesday in their final game in Group A.
