Kent Salado leads Arellano over Perpetual

Kent Salado registered 18 points and 12 assists to lead the Arellano Chiefs over the Perpetual Altas, 91-86, in the NCAA Season 95 basketball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Thursday, September 19.

The Chiefs almost squandered a five-point lead in the final minutes after Jielo Razon and Kim Aurin nailed clutch three-pointers to cut the deficit to one, 86-85, with 42 seconds to go.

But Salado took over, dishing two assists to Art Oliva for the dagger three-pointer and to Justin Arana for layup.


Arana finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Dariel Bayla and Rence Alcoriza added points each.

Edgar Charcos led Perpetual Help with 22 points, nine assists and five rebounds before fouling out in the fourth period.

Arellano improved their standings to 3-9 while Perpetual suffered their third straight loss to drop to 3-8.
