Import Dez Wells scored 42 points and San Miguel Beermen moved into the Terrific 12 semifinals with an 101-92 victory over the defending champion Ryukyu Golden Kings on Thursday, September 19.
Wells, who amazed the crowd with highlight-reel dunks and blocking Ryukyu import Demon Brooks' dunk attempt, had also six rebounds and three steals.
Terrence Romeo added 18 points, while San Miguel's other import Lester Prosper contributed with 15 points and eight rebounds for the Beermen, which will meet former NBA star Lance Stephenson and the Liaoning Flying Leopards in Saturday’s semifinals.
Reinforcement Brooks led the Golden Kings with 34 points and 11 rebounds.
