Bucks top Hawks in Game 5 to take 3-2 series lead

The Milwaukee Bucks grabbed a 3-2 series lead and are one win away reaching the NBA finals for the first time since 1974 after a Game 5 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Brook Lopez scored a playoff career-high 33 points to lead the Bucks in a 123-112 win over the Hawks.

Jrue Holiday had 25 points and 13 assists and Khris Middleton finished with 26 points and 13 rebounds for the Bucks.

Bobby Portis, who came into the starting five in place of Giannis Antetokounmpo, had a playoff career-high 22 points. Antetokounmpo was not able to play due to a hyperextended left knee.

The Hawks were without their own star, as Trae Young sat out his second straight game after he suffered a bone bruise in his right foot in game three.

Bogdan Bogdanovic lead the Hawks with a team-high 28 points.

Game 6 is Saturday (Sunday Philippine Time) in Atlanta, with the winner of the series facing the Phoenix Suns in the NBA finals.
