Hidilyn Diaz, the Philippines first ever Olympic gold medalist, confirmed in a social media post her intent to try and qualify in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
On her Instagram account, Diaz, a two-time Olympic weightlifter medalist, unveiled her goal for the new year, posting a photo of herself holding a miniature Eiffel Tower, and adding the hashtags #paris2024, #olympic, #olympicweightlifting and #TeamHD.
