Jalen Green scores career-high 32 points as Rockets take care of Lakers

Fil-Am rookie Jalen Green scored a career-high 32 points as the Houston Rockets took care of the slumping Los Angeles Lakers 139-130 at Toyota Center.

Green, the second overall pick in the draft, scored 19 points combined in the fourth quarter and overtime period to help the Rockets close out the Lakers.

Green's 32-point output was his second 30-point game this season, topping his previous career-high of 30 points in the 97-107 loss to the Boston Celtics on Oct. 24.

Rookie Alperen Sengun also set a career-highs with 21 points and 15 rebounds and fellow rookie Josh Christopher added 21 points off the bench to help the Rockets secure the victory.

Houston, who have the worst record in the Western Conference, overcame a LeBron James' fifth triple-double of the season. James finished with 23 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists and four blocks.

Russell Westbrook tallied 30 points, eight rebounds, and six assists in the loss for the Lakers.
