The Letran Knights took a come-from-behind win against CSB Blazers, 67—63, to kick off their title defense with a win in the opening game of the NCAA Season 97 men’s basketball at the La Salle Greenhills Gym.
Trailing for most part of the game, the Knights came alive in the second half as Rhenz Abando and Season 95 Finals MVP Fran Yu delivered big baskets down the stretch to defeat the Blazers.
Abando, the former University of Santo Tomas standout, debuted for Letran with 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and four blocks.

Yu finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals.
AJ Benson led the Blazers with 16 points while Carlo Lim added 10 markers.
