The Gilas Pilipinas Youth is set to compete in the 2023 FIBA Under-16 Asian Championship from September 17 to 24, 2023.

The Philippines men's national under-16 basketball team was drawn into Group D along with China, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan for the Group Phase.

Gilas Youth open the tournament against China before meeting Kazakhstan and finishing the Group Phase with Malaysia.
