The Ateneo-La Salle rivalry continues in the UAAP women's volleyball finals for the sixth consecutive year.
Defending champion De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers takes on Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Lady Eagles in the finals of the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament.
The Lady Spikers defeated UST Tigresses in the Final Four to secure the ticket to the championship series. The Ateneo Lady Eagles advanced to the finals after beating FEU Lady Tamaraws in semis.
Ateneo owns a 2-0 edge against the La Salle this season. But in their finals matchup, the Lady Spikers hold a 3-2 advantage.
La Salle won the championship series in Season 74, 75 and 79, while Ateneo claimed the titles in Season 76 and 77.
