Import Cory Jefferson had 41 points and 13 rebounds, and the Alaska Aces hung on to beat the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters 105-102 in the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Sunday, April 2 for their fourth straight win.
Shawn Taggart scored 40 points to lead the E-Painters, who rallied from nine down in the fourth quarter and got the four-point led 93-97 on his 2-pointer with 1:52 to play.
Jefferson hit a 3-pointer with 30.1 seconds remaining to regain the lead 101-99 and JVee Casio sealed the game with four free throws.
