Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas and BC Astana of Kazakhstan are going to open their campaign in 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup against each other.
Chooks-To-Go and BC Astana are seeded in Group A, alongside Thailand's Mono Vampire, Iran's Petrochimi, Palestine's Sareyyet Ramallah.
Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas's roster includes Gilas Pilipinas naturalized prospect Isaiah Austin and Congolese Rod Ebondo. The Philippine team, headed by coach Chot Reyes, will also have former collegiate standouts Kiefer Ravena, Jeron Teng, Jett Manuel and Alfrancis Tamsi. Current and former PBA players like Almond Vosotros, Carl Bryan Cruz, LA Revilla, Jeric Teng and Norbert Torres are also in the lineup to boost the team.
BC Astana, on the other hand, has a roster consisting national team players, according to FIBA. The Kazakhstani will be reinforced by foreign players Anthony Clemmons and Justin Anthony Carter.
