Casio helps Alaska to 103-80 win over Magnolia

Jvee Casio helped the Alaska Aces pull off their third win of the conference after giving the Magnolia Hotshots a rude welcome in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday, June 5.

The Aces defeated a debuting Hotshots, 103-80.

JVee Casio, the best player of the game, had 17 points off 3 three-pointers.

Alaska made a 20-8 run in the third quarter led by import Chris Daniel, who exploded for 18 points. He went 4-of-4 from beyond the three-point line and finished with 23 points and seven rebounds.

Jeron Teng had a double-double of 12 points, 12 rebounds after a career-high 15 boards against NLEX.

Chris Banchero only scored eight points but distributed the ball well as he racked up 11 assists for the Aces, who now have a 3-2 win-loss record.

Vic Manuel, who returned to the court after missing the entire Philippine Cup due to injuries, played only minutes and scored six points.

The Magnolia, who were coming off a finals loss in the 2019 Philippine Cup, was led by Ian Sangalang with 17 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Mark Barroca added 15 points.

Import John Fields was limited to 12 points and six rebounds.
