In his PBA debut, import Tony Mitchell tallied 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting and 16 rebounds as he led the Star Hotshots to a win over the Phoenix Fuel Masters in the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday, March 22.
Mark Barroca, the best player of the game, registered his 13 of his 17 points in the second half, while Allein Maliksi added 16 points for Hotshots.
Phoenix import Jameel McKay also shone in his first PBA game with 34 points, 20 rebounds and four blocks but it was not enough to lift them past the Star.
The Hotshots have now beaten the Fuel Masters four straight times by an average of 28.5 including a 44-point whipping back in the Philippine Cup.
