Jones, Pogoy, TNT dominate Phoenix in heated game

The TNT KaTropa cruised to a 114-88 win against the Phoenix Fuel Masters on Sunday night, June 2 in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Import Terrence Jones returned to his dominant ways, who scored another 40-point outing to go with 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals after being limited to just 14 points in a blowout loss to NorthPort on May 29.

Roger Pogoy, the best player of the game, registered a career-high 31 points, having made 8 of his 15 attempts from beyond the arc.

TNT's 20-2 run in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter was the turning point of the game.

Jayson Castro had a triple-double of his career with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists for KaTropa.

The game got heated quickly in the opening period.

It was a scuffle between Anthony Semerad and Phoenix import Rob Dozier that resulted to the ejection of Fuel Masters head coach Louie Alas and forward Jason Perkins and KaTropa consultant Mark Dickel and Semerad twins Anthony and David, stole the show, however.

Scuffles continued in the final seven minutes when Calvin Abueva was thrown out for clotheslining Jones.

Matthew Wright led the Phoenix with 21 points while Dozier contributed with 16 markers and 12 boards.

Abueva had 16 points and 11 rebounds before committing a flagrant foul penalty two on Jones.
