Filipino-American rookie Jalen Green began his NBA career and put on a show for the Houston Rockets in his NBA Summer League debut.
In an 84-76 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Green, the second overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, lived up to the hype as he led the Rockets with 23 points, making 9 of 18 shots, 4 of 9 3-pointers with one turnover.

KJ Martin added 17 points for the Rockets.
Alperen Sengun, the Turkish MVP and one of four first-round picks for Houston at 16, had 15 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks. Josh Christopher, the 24th pick, scored 13.
In comparison, Cavaliers rookie Evan Mobley, the third overall pick of the 2021 draft, finished with 12 points, five rebounds and three blocks in the game.
