The NU Bulldogs escaped their opening game against the Adamson Soaring Falcons with a win, 71-69 in the UAAP Season 84 men's basketball tournament on Saturday.
Rookie Janjan Felicilda led the Bulldogs with a team-high 14 points on a 6-of-12 shooting to go with four rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Robert Minerva and John Lloyd Clemente added 8 points apiece for NU.
Ahmad Hanapi had game-high 20 points on top of five rebounds to lead the Falcons. Jerom Lastimosa contributed 18 points with two rebounds, and two assists in the loss.
