The FEU Tamaraws recorded their first win in the UAAP Season 84 men’s basketball tournament after defeating the UST Growling Tigers, 76-51, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
FEU super rookie RJ Abarrientos led the Tamaraws in rolling past the Growling Tigers. The Gilas guard waxed hot in the first half scoring 14 points and finished with a team-high 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists on 4-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc.

Bryan Sajonia contributed 12 markers and eight boards and Nigerian Emman Ojuola had eight points, six rebounds, and three assists for FEU men's basketball team.
Joshua Fontanilla led the UST men's basketball team with 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting.
