The 2023 Asian Games Men's 5-on-5 Basketball Tournament will feature a field of 16 teams from Asia, all with their sights set on the gold medal. The teams were divided into 4 groups of 4 teams and will play a round robin group.
The host nation, China, is placed in Group B, alongside Chinese Taipei, Lebanon, and Mongolia.
Group A comprises Iran, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Group C of the tournament consists of Bahrain, Jordan, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Group D includes Japan, Indonesia, Qatar, and South Korea.
