Jalen Green led the charge for the Rockets with an outstanding display, shooting 15-23 from the field, including 5-9 from beyond the arc, and converting both of his free throw attempts. In addition to his scoring prowess, Green also contributed eight rebounds and two assists across 37 minutes of play. His performance was highlighted by an impressive ankle-breaking move reminiscent of NBA star James Harden.

This remarkable scoring outburst marked a season-best for Green and his highest output in almost a year, harking back to his 40-point explosion against the Pelicans on March 19, 2023. With three 30-point performances in the last eight games, Green has been showcasing his immense talent, averaging 25.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.5 three-pointers, 3.3 assists, and 1.1 steals during this stretch.
However, Green wasn't the lone star for the Rockets. Fred VanVleet contributed 27 points and nine rebounds, while Amen Thompson delivered another stellar performance with 20 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Jabari Smith Jr., Dillon Brooks, and Jock Landale also made significant contributions, scoring 16, 13, and 13 points respectively.
Despite solid performances from Jordan Poole, Kyle Kuzma, and Deni Avdija for the Wizards, who combined for 72 points, the team struggled to contain the Rockets' offensive onslaught. With scoring not being their main issue, the Wizards will need to regroup and address their defensive vulnerabilities moving forward.
