John Marvin and Eumir Felix Marcial each won their final match to secure the gold medals for the Philippines in the boxing competitions of the 2017 SEA Games on August 24 at the MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Marcial defeated Pathomsak Kuttiya from Thailand via unanimous decision in the Middle weight class (69kg-75kg) while Marvin beat Hafildz B. Mohd Pauzi from Malaysia in just 21 seconds to capture the gold in Light Heavyweight (75kg-81kg) class.
