The Meralco Bolts topped the San Miguel Beermen, 95-91, to earn a playoff spot for eighth seed.
Bolts snapped their five-game losing skid and tied Alaska and Phoenix for eighth place with 4-7 win-loss record.
Due to quotients, Phoenix was eliminated. Meralco will face Alaska in a playoff game on Friday for eighth place and the last spot in the quarterfinals.
Import Delroy James led the Bolts with 34 points including the Meralco’s final six points, on top of five rebounds and six assists.
June Mar Fajardo and reinforcement Chris Mccullough scored 27 points each to pace the Beermen.
The Beermen will face Blackwater in a best-of-three affair if the Magnolia win in the next game, or take on NorthPort with a twice-to-win disadvantage if the TNT win.
