Game 1: Paul leads Suns to 118-105 win over Bucks

Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns beat the returning Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Milwaukee Bucks 118-105 in Game 1 of the 2021 NBA Finals.

Pau, who is in his first Finals appearance, finished the game with 32 points and nine assists in the game. He was 12-for-19 from the field overall and 4-for-7 from three-point range.

Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton also had big games for the Suns. Booker recorded 27 points, six assists and three steals. Ayton added 22 points and 19 rebounds.

Khris Middleton led the Bucks with 29 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Antetokounmpo, who returned to the Bucks and started Game 1 after hyperextending his knee in the Eastern Conference finals, tallied 20 points and 17 rebounds.

The Suns took a 1-0 lead in the best-of seven NBA Finals series.

Game 2 is set for Thursday (Friday Philippine Time) at Phoenix Suns Arena.
