Latvia claimed a decisive 104-84 victory over Brazil in a do-or-die matchup, earning them a ticket to the Final Round in the Philippines, Manila.
The first half of the game saw a closely contested battle, with Latvia holding a slim 45-42 lead at halftime. However, in the third quarter, Latvia hit their stride, outscoring Brazil by a significant margin.
Latvia exploded for 36 points in the pivotal third quarter, guided by a standout performance from Davis Bertans. They established a commanding 81-63 lead by the end of the period, ultimately cruising to victory as Brazil struggled to respond.
Latvia now has the opportunity to finish first in their group, contingent on the outcome of the Spain vs. Canada match later in the day.
