In a dominant display of basketball prowess, Serbia secured a resounding 112-79 victory over the Dominican Republic in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The Serbian team, led by Bogdan Bogdanovic's impressive performance, wasted no time in establishing their dominance, surging to a commanding 29-15 lead after the first 10 minutes of play. From that point onward, the Dominican Republic struggled to mount a comeback and never came within striking distance of the Serbian juggernaut.

Bogdanovic led the scoring for Serbia with a total of 20 points, while Vanja Marinkovic and Nikola Milutinov contributed 16 points each. Serbia's lead ballooned to as much as 38 points, reaching 95-57 following a slam dunk by Ognjen Dobric, assisted by Marko Guduric, with 7:58 left in the final quarter.

With this victory, Serbia secured their spot in the quarterfinals as the second seed in Group I, following Italy, who also advanced to the quarterfinals. On the Dominican Republic side, NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns showcased his skills with an impressive 25-point performance, but it wasn't enough to secure the win.

In the upcoming quarterfinals, Serbia is set to face Lithuania.
